Eat Here Indy: Cunningham Is Putting Final Touches On New Bottleworks' Asian Inspired Restaurant, Modita

Arguably the city’s most popular restaurant group Cunningham — owner of Mesh, Livery, Bru Burger and more — is putting the final touches on its newest restaurant Modita, meaning happy and delighted.

Modita will draw influences from India, China, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand and highlight unique ingredients with a spin on dishes including sushi, dim sum, noodles and rice, along with robata grilled specialties.

The new Asian-inspired restaurant is one of the Bottleworks District’s most anticipated openings and is sure to carry a distinct design like many of the group’s restaurants. Last year Cunningham said that the atmosphere would over-deliver with a dramatic design.

Modita will sit at the intersection of Carrollton Ave and East 9th Street on the north side of the hotel, independent of The Garage food hall, which opened in early January.

While there’s no word on when exactly they’ll be opening, Modita is currently hosting interviews and the menu has been in development for several months led by executive chef Braedon Kellner, formerly of Tinker Street.
