NESSO Coastal Italia Opens at the Alexander

Indianapolis, IN, September 10, 2018 --  Nesso, a new and highly anticipated concept for Indianapolis based Cunningham Restaurant Group (CRG), opens to the public today.  Nesso, Italian for “connection,” welcomes guests to enjoy an authentic coastal Italian dining experience in downtown Indianapolis.  Located at 339 S. Delaware Street, Nesso assumes the space in the Alexander Hotel.

Nesso features freshly-sourced food, Italian-influenced wine, and spectacular hospitality that connects the Circle City to regions reminiscent of beautiful coastal Italy.

“I’ve always loved the connection that comes with food and family.  That’s what Nesso is to me. It is that intersection of coastal Italian food, drinks, and desserts offered in a relaxed setting that allows connection to happen.  I’m looking forward to seeing Nesso open and offer that unique perspective to Indiana,” said Mike Cunningham, President and CEO of Cunningham Restaurant Group.

Offering dinner service only, reservations are recommended.  Nesso also boasts a full-service bar, ready to welcome guests just stopping by for a relaxing glass of wine or spirits.  Nesso’s menu features fresh pasta, seafood, locally-sourced meats and vegetables, all artfully compiled into Italian inspired dishes.  The menu is crafted collaboratively by CRG’s own Executive Chef Carl Chambers, Chef de Cuisine Layton Roberts, and Nesso’s Executive Chef, Craig Baker, who is new to the CRG team and brings unique perspective and years of experience.  The finale of every meal comes in the form of traditional Italian desserts such as cannolis, tiramisu, and torta di formaggio, each masterfully created by award-winning Chef Hattie McDaniel. Chef Hattie now creates memorable desserts and breads at both Vida and Nesso.

As you travel through the menu offerings, you will enjoy delectable courses sized to share as a table.  The wine list offers a wide range suited for both novice and expert wine lovers. Nesso’s wine program is led by Sommelier and General Manager Roddy Kirschenman. Roddy brings years of experience, a passion for the community of wine, and connection to the service industry, all of which are sure to amplify the Nesso experience.

Located in the development by Buckingham Properties, Nesso is the third concept in CRG’s repertoire to team up with a hotel. The Alexander Hotel is a contemporary boutique hotel offering an artistic and eclectic atmosphere for its clientele.  The first two, Provision and Rize, are housed at the industrial chic Ironworks Hotel on the northside of Indianapolis.

As a farm-to-table concept with global appeal, Nesso is delighted to serve out-of-town guests, local connoisseurs, and event attendees alike.

Nesso marks restaurant number 28 for the Indianapolis-based Cunningham Restaurant Group with locations in Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.  CRG will open two more locations in 2018 while current concepts include BRU Burger Bar, Mesh, Stone Creek Dining Company, Boulder Creek Dining Company, Charbonos, Union 50, Livery, Moerlein Lager House, CafĂ© 251, Vida, Provision, Rize, and Tavern at the Point.
